Dear Parishioners of the Windsor Heritage Catholic Family of Parishes,

On behalf of Fr. Maurice, I want to thank you for the outpouring of well wishes that we have received since the announcement of Fr. Maurice’s COVID diagnosis on Saturday evening. He is exceedingly grateful for your support and prayers!

I also want to take this opportunity to provide an update on his condition. Fr. Maurice continues to isolate in the house owned by Assumption University, where he has been since January 17, when he began his annual retreat. He did briefly visit the Emergency Department on Tuesday night, but he was not admitted to the hospital at that time. However, it was determined during that visit that he has also contracted pneumonia. He has been placed on a regimen of antibiotics, which hopefully will help him to start down the road to recovery.

Fr. Maurice is well taken care of in his isolation. He has plenty of food and supplies on hand, so he is asking that gifts of food not be made at this time.

I am grateful to the staff of our Family of Parishes for their assistance in managing our day to day Spiritual and administrative affairs while Fr Maurice is recovering. Please be assured that we will continue to provide updates on his condition as necessary, and please continue to hold him in your prayers.

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Steven Huber, CSB

Associate Pastor, Windsor Heritage Catholic Family of Parishes
